Artist Statement
My work examines the human figure
as a constructed form defined by tensions between material, structure and memory. Using wire, concrete and industrial materials I develop sculptures that operate between fragmentation and cohesion, stability and collapse.
The figure is treated not as representation but as a condition — an index of presence shaped by force, pressure and transformation. Material is not a vehicle but a determinant; it registers process, weight and internal stress as constitutive elements of the work.
Each sculpture functions as an autonomous object while contributing to a broader spatial and conceptual framework, situated between figurative practice and constructed form.
The work is conceived for both interior and exterior contexts.
Bio (concise)
Born in 1976 in Pardubice, Czech Republic.
Graduated from FF OU Ostrava (Mgr. in Czech and Art), member of the Union of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic.
She lives and works in Žamberk; currently developing a studio and gallery space in nearby Zakopanka.
Má práce zkoumá lidskou figuru jako konstrukci definovanou napětím mezi materiálem, strukturou a pamětí. Prostřednictvím drátu, betonu a industriálních materiálů vytvářím sochy, které se pohybují mezi fragmentárností a celistvostí, stabilitou a rozpadem.
Zajímá mě okamžik, kdy figura přestává být pouhým zobrazením těla, ale stává se situací, stavem – otiskem existence, stopou emoce, vnitřní nestability, proměny. Použitý materiál je nedílnou součástí významu díla, jeho prostřednictvím odhaluji proces vzniku i vnitřní napětí v průběhu práce.
Každá socha funguje jako autonomní objekt a zároveň vstupuje do širšího prostorového a konceptuálního rámce, jenž propojuje figurální tvorbu s konstrukčně budovanými formami založenými na skládání a vrstvení materiálu.
Dílo je určeno do interiéru i exteriéru.
