In my works, I explore the human figure as an object, into whose form human memory and experience are projected. I am interested in the physical decay of the body, its transience and fragility. Therefore, I reduce and deliberately deform the figure to highlight existential feelings of emptiness, anxiety and sadness. I often use layering of materials, playing with light and space.

 

My source of inspiration is not only general human and my own experiences, but also Czech literature, which is my second field.

 

I work primarily with wire, exploring its possibilities, disrupting its structure, compacting it into a metallic mass, which I continue to break and crush - I want it to bear the imprint of my physical activity.

In addition to wire, I also process concrete and other industrial materials, and I also do painting and graphics.

Graduated from FF OU Ostrava (Mgr. in Czech and Art), completed the Summer School of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, member of the Union of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic.

 

She lives and works in Žamberk; currently developing a studio and gallery space in nearby Zakopanka.
